We have discovered a broken link in RMH that prevents some Item Discount Tables from updating correctly across all stores. We have found and corrected many these but suspect there could still be some to fix. Below I have outlined a simple process for fixing these if you come across them.
You’ll need to use this procedure when you try to update the Discount tables for an item in Centrals and it not get saved to the stores. Updating the stores usually just involves making changes and hitting update however when the SynchGUID link is broken this won’t happen for all store, if any. This following steps will fix that.
This only applies to the Discount tab in Centrals as shown here:
Once you’ve determined that the Discounts table isn’t synchronizing with the stores we need to reset it. Before starting please make sure you either print screen the current discount table as a back up or have your prices ready to reinput as this process will wipe out the current tables and reset the links to the stores.
Step #1 - So with your values ready, click the first check box on the tab that says “There is no discount scheme for this item.” WARNING: Doing this will erase the current Discount Table.
Then click Save And Close as shown here:
Step #2 – Now reopen the item and go back to the Discounts tab. You’ll see that the values are greyed out and all set to $0.00. Good Job!
Step #3 - We now need to click the last check box that says “Use a quantity discount pricing table” and the smaller box under it that says “Discount odd items:” (If you do not click Discount odd items your invoicing totals will be off.) After clicking these you can enter your discount values as shown here:
Step #4 - Calculate the Discount tables: You can fill in the discount tables based on the items Price, PriceA, PriceB and PriceC values. But you'll need to know which tier value it uses. I believe tree tier values are 3,6 and 9 while plants are 10,20 and 30.
The Discount Table is filled out according to this arrangement:
Quantity | Unit Price | Level A | Level B | Level C |
Tier1 (3/10) | PriceC | PriceA | PriceB | PriceC |
Tier2 (6/20) | PriceB | PriceA | PriceB | PriceB |
Teir3 (9/20) | PriceA | PriceA | PriceA | PriceA |
So for example if the item is a tree and the prices are as follows:
The discount table would be filled out like this:
Once all the numbers are input click Save And Close.
That's it! You can use Store Manager to verify that the discounts are now being synchronized. If you have any problems or questions, please send an email to help@wwninc.com
