1. Localization-Setting the Store & Warehouse
It is very important that the Store and Warehouse are set appropriately before creating documents.
2. Setting the Store
You can see which store you’re set to by clicking the drop-down icon in the top right corner, as shown here:
You can change the Store setting using the dropdown above. Once changed the Store will remain until you change it again. If you float between stores you will need to change this setting for each store prior to creating documents.
3. Changing the Store on Existing Documents
If a store is set incorrectly on a sales document, you can change that using the ‘Store’ field in the Document Properties, as shown here.
4. Setting the Warehouse (Whse)
In addition to the store, you need to set the Inventory Warehouse location as well. This tells the sales document where local inventory comes from and where nursery inventory might need to be shipped if nursery fulfillment is used.
The warehouse location options are PPSA for Avon, PPSB for Broadview, and PPSH for Hillard. You can only use PPSA, PPSB, or PPSH. You’ll want to set this at the top of the new sales document prior to adding any line items. You can set that using the ‘Whse’ field shown here.
5. Changing the Warehouse (Whse) on Existing Documents
If the warehouse isn’t set correctly when you first add items, you can get all kinds of errors. If you need to correct a warehouse location on existing documents, you need to set the Whse value mentioned above and then change the Whse setting per each line item.
To change the Whse line item setting you may need to add that column. You then just need to change the warehouse for each item, so it matches the sales document warehouse, as shown here.
