1. Understanding Shipping Methods

The ‘Ship Method’ is how you will tell order processing what method will be used to deliver the order. The setting drives various functionalities and needs to be set for every order. This section is very important to ensure that fees are applied correctly, and delivery happens as expected.

COD Delivery/Delivery-These methods will involve collecting and processing payments and include automatically calculated freight fees based on the shipping fee schedule provided by distribution. This is handled by the DC where the order was placed.

Pickup-This method allows the customer to pick up and pay for their order at the DC where the order is placed.

WNI Delivery-The method means the nursery will handle delivery and fulfillment of the order and will auto calculate the fees.

WNI Delivery orders will be fully transferred to the nursery and once completed will be removed from Salespad. If the Total Unit count exceeds 4000 units, it is suggested that this method is used.

Freight–This method allows for flexibility and fee overrides. You must calculate and add your own freight fees to an order with this shipping method selected.

2. Shipping Details

The ‘Shipping Details’ section shows where an order is going to be shipped. It's very important that this is verified, otherwise an order could be delivered to the wrong location. In addition, you will find a few more delivery specific fields.

Ship Complete is used to signify that an order should not be shipped until all the line items have been received and can be delivered together.

Nursery Fulfillment is used to receive items from the nursery instead of the distribution center’s inventory. Selecting this option will place all items into the fulfillment que and initiate a nursery order
